White with 1 December

Well I started this LO very early in December and I have only finished it, as it was put to the bottom of the pile as I had to complete my Webster's Class Kits and also using Making Memories Pitter Patter for Leanne as well at Mad about Scrappin. But finally I was able to find some time for me to scrap today and here it is,

The criteria this month for White with 1 was Grey + White + Masking. I have used some chipboard and then painted over it with white and then outlined it with a black pen. I am really happy with how this has turned out.

Websters Class Kits for Mad about Scrappin

I have been very busy, getting these LO's done for Leanne at Mad about Scrappin and as an added twist I needed to write up the instructions as well. This ended up being a bit of a challenge for me, and 2700 words later I am finished......

Well here is the 4 LO's first one I have called

 Joy

The second LO is called

 Life Portrait

The Third LO is called

Little Sister

and the fourth and final LO is called

 Our Wedding Day

Well I hope you like these examples of what you can do with the entire range of Life's Portrait, it certainly challenged me, not a shabby scrapper myself. Unfortunately all these kits were sold out prior to them being released, some of the customers got sneaky peaks at the last 12hour Crop. LOL!!!!
I still have another 2 kits sitting on my desk waiting to go, as well I really want to finish the white with 1 this month, but we will see. Til next time, Merry Christmas

A2Z Scraplets December Sketch Challenge

I know, I know, long time no see but in my defence, most of my scrapping in the last couple of months has been for kits for Mad about Scrappin and for my local LSS Paper Addiction, so I do not get to show them off :(

But I have started to complete some online challenges again, I am in the process of completing the White with 1 for this month, still missing pieces and not photo ready yet but I have completed my entry for the A2Z Scraplets for this month

Here it is, I have titled it As Snug as a Bug in a rug. It was one of their new chipboard phrases, so cute and came with the lovely little bug in the left hand side of the LO, I just detached it from the words.

Til next time.......

Cyber Crop for Mad about Scrappin

Here is my card that I have made for Challenge 2 of the crop, for this challenge you had to create a card with 2 dotty elements, I have used Swiss dot bazzill and dotty pp. Hope you like :D

I have another 3 challenges that I have to complete within the week but we will see how we go.....

The LO below is one of the November challenges for MAS

You had to scrap lift a LO or a scrapbooker who has inspired you. I was inspired by Nikki Antonello's Quilling Flower Canvas.

September Challenge 2

Well my Mojo is back on board, YAY!!!! I went to Leanne's last night of Mad about Scrappin, and scrapped up a storm and had a blast with just the two of us. My poor bestie Coz had to stay home, as her youngest is sick at the moment and Star is sick as well with the stomach flu. So I made the most of the peace and quiet ( sorry Coz) and was able to complete the latest challenge for the Mad Forum and do a page for an upcoming limited edition Kit for Leanne. So it was a very productive evening for me.

Loving my paper and pen at the moment, all my LO's are featuring doodling, it adds so much personality to my pages. Yet again this is featuring on my new LO for September, I kept this LO simple to go with the sketch that it was inspired from. Love these colours that came with the sketch, go check out the forum and join it's lot's of fun and great prizes are available every month.

Tried to get a clue on next weeks challenge but Leanne was not having any of it, so I have to wait the same as everyone else and stalk the Forum, can't wait to see, I am sure it will be another great challenge as she has outdone herself this month with these two challenges. I better go and put on my housewife hat instead of scrapper hat ;)

"You are my Life"

Here is my latest page that I have created for Mad about Scrappin, I hope you like it!
I have used a combination of Thrift Shop, Fly a Kite and Farm Fresh on this LO all from October Afternoon, I have used my Versamark Wheat ink to age the edges of the paper then I have used the pinecone ink for definition. I am really in love with doodling at the moment and I seem to be creating quite a number of pages that use this technique.
It is quite late here in BrisVegas but wanted to show you this little lovely, make sure you head over the the forum and enter the monthly challenges as Leanne, gives away fantastic prizes.
The next challenge is up and it is going to be a challenge for me, not so much the sketch as the colour palette that goes with it, red and blues. Wish me luck.
See you soon

Challenge 3 for August at Mad about Scrappin

Hi all

Long time no see again.... Ooops but August has been a month of illness in our house, if it wasn't one of the girls then it was me :( lets see Gastro and numerous colds have made their way around the lot of us (all except DH Grrrr). We are finally, all nearly right, once this sore throat buggers off I will be alot happier but never the less I am able to start scrapping again. This project spent about 3 weeks in total on my desk at various stages, but we have got there. It is a gorgeous picture of one of my nieces Sophie-Rose, I thought these papers complimented her school uniform wonderfully.

I created the little Owl on the left from the paper left over. He is so cute sitting on his branch. I hope you like it as much as I do. These papers are available from Mad About Scrappin
Well I will see you soon with some new creations :D

Beautiful girl

Well it is show holiday here today so, I have both kidlets with me today so not much time to spare. Thought would share with you a LO I completed at the Mad About Scrappin's 12 hour crop on Saturday night. It is the first of four challenges for the month of August. We had to complete a LO with 3 bright colours, kraft cardstock and doodling, well here is my LO it is called Beautiful You. It is of my youngest daughter Olivia last year at the Wiggles concert.

I Loved these critera and quickly completed this LO. Had a ball at the crop as well, great to sit around and have a great chat with everyone and stuff myself full of yummy food. I am halfway through the first LO for the Challenge Pack for August, should be back within a couple of days with that

I'm back (alittle late) but as promised....

I am applying for the DT at Mad About Scrappin I am pretty excited about this. I am hopeful that I will succeed but either way, my mojo is back and I am look forward to being able to keep this wonderful hobby/ lifestyle up. Here is one of the LO's that I am including in my submission. We had to interpret this sketch

I thought instead of keeping with the sketch and do a shabby flowery LO, I would make mine more simple, well here it is

I made my own rolled roses out of scrap material. I have been making these quite alot lately, just loving them! The patterned Kraft paper is scenic route and I coloured some of the centres blue to match the bazzill. I then fussy cut some of the vines off the Making Memories paper and added a journal it from Teresa collins. Hope you all love it as much as I do.....

Wish me luck, keep your fingers crossed for me. Will post and let you all know how I go.

Hello All I am back!!!

Well I have been a terrible blogger haven't I. But I am making a promise to you and myself that every week I am going to update this blog with some of my work. Here is some of the last LO's I have completed. First one is called Bathing Beauties, it is an example I did for my Business Coz I Want. It uses the chipboard that we sell.

The next one is called Prep Girl it was for one of the themes at Challenge Heaven in June. The Theme was New things and I went with the new school for my big girl Daphne. I am loving muslin at the moment, it is nearly on everyone of my LO's.

This last LO, I completed for the Out of the Hat challenge, Criteria is to use raw chipboard, have a rainbow and also a insect critter. I love this one of Daphne again. I really should make sure I scrap more of Olivia... OOPs

I hope you all are well and I will be back soon to hopefully show you a couple of LO's inspired from the same sketch......

Will be MIA for a while

Hope everyone is well, I just wanted to let you all know that I will be out of action for a short (fingers crossed that is) time. I am renovating my scrapping area, so it all had to be packed away while I paint and put shelves in, etc, etc. I hope to be back really soon with pics of my new space..
Til then

Two LO's for you

Believe it or not but this first LO's inspiration came from the junk mail. We got a flyer in the mail for a family fun day at a local estate last week and it really struck a cord with me and next thing I know I have produced this LO within a couple of hours. Hope you love it as much as I do, it's my new favourite.

This LO, I started at a crop at Lisa's house on Saturday we have a great day. Some scrapping was done, chatting and lots of laughs were had. I finished it this afternoon with the journaling.

Lucky me is off to Melbourne for a 3 night stay with girlfriends and the best part is that my lovely daughters get to stay with their father in BrisVegas. I am so looking forward to this weekend as this will be the longest I have had away from my youngest daughter and she is nearly 2. Will be a nice break and the crazy thing is that I have a Scrapping Retreat in February for another 3 nights and 4 days. So 2010 is starting off to be a great year for me, fingers crossed it keeps getting better and better.

Still Gloomy in good Old Brisvegas

The Weather is incredible, I have not seen this much rain in ages and the clouds will just not go away. But I have taken the photo's anyway because I am not sure when I will get a chance to take them otherwise. First here is my OTP project, hope you all like it,

Then we have a couple of Lo's I have done in the last week or so, the first one is of the girls playing in their new sandpit. I know that Owls are so out of fashion but I still find them supper cute, and it suited this photo down to a T....

This one is of Olivia at a park on some play equipment

Better go, as the girls are going to a play centre today and I need to get ready...
Hope you like, let me know

New Directions....

My Scrapping Mojo is still AWOL, so while I wait for it to return home, I thought I would update you on my OTP project. The Great News is that it is finished, put the final touches on it at Coz's Birthday Scrap Bash at Leanne's place on Saturday night but bad news is that the weather has been so miserable in Brisbane since then I have not had a chance to photograph it. Check back in a couple of days and you may find it posted...

I was hinting that I was going to apply for a Design Team position this month but I have had second thoughts and I think I might wait until the second half of the year to put my application in. I am not feeling the best about my craft currently and I do not want to disappoint... So I am going to focus solidly on my scrapping for the next couple of months. I am going to go back to scrapping my girls for their albums, don't worry I am still going to post these on this blog but they may not be of "submittable quality" because I have such a backlog of photo's to scrap.

I am still really excited about my ATC's, I am loving being artistic again and not structured as you have to be with LO's. I am going to explore lots of different styles and mediums, so watch this space....

Lastly, go have a look at Ning Sites I participate in Born2create and SNA because both of them have wonderful sketches on offer for this month. Trust me I will be submitting my interpretations, so need sketches currently... LOL

Well hopefully will post soon with some lovely photo's of my advent calender, so check back in a couple of days

xx Lou
