A Girl's Guide to Cake

I have created something different this time, I was given some papers from the new Echo Park - Little Girl Range from Paper Addiction to use as a sample for them.

Here are some close up's which I normally don't do but to see all the details you need it. This LO is best seen in real life....

I hope you like, I certainly had a blast creating this LO, the paper's in this range are great fun

Scraphappy Kat's Friday Night Challenge 21 January 2011

Wow.... My Mojo is on fire at the moment, really liking what I am producing.  Hoping that this continues on for quite a while as it has helped me heaps over these very long 6 weeks of school holidays..... Kathie from Scraphappy Kat put up this sketch from Lexie on Friday night;

This is my take on it, I mirrored the sketch to suit my photo's then I grabbed my folder of paper ranges which I still have not used and went for the Little Yellow Bicycle's Clothesline range. Loving the soft colours on these papers. I had cut out quite a few of the flowers, stuck them down with some Muslin ( real weakness for this stuff at the moment) and added some stitching, baker's twine. For something different, I thought I would try some quilling on my LO... hated it when I was doing it but I think it was worth it in the end,

Imaginisce - Enchanted LO for Paper Addiction

I was asked to create a sample LO of the new Enchanted range from Imaginisce for Paper Addiction and here it is. I went for the non-traditional title and photo. It's a photo of Olivia around 12months of age, her favourite past time was to climb on top of the table and laugh uncontrollably, then promptly scream for me to get her down. So going with the title " No princess in this castle " fits her to a tee....

January ABC Challenge for Mad about Scrappin

We have been very lucky not to have been affected by the flooding in Brisbane this week. We live north of Brisbane city and our house is located up on a hill. My heart goes out to each and everyone one who has been affected by this tragedy. It has warmed my heart to see so many people reaching out to the flood victims, looking to assist them. My thoughts are with them everyday. XOX

Leanne from Mad about Scrappin unfortunately has had to close her Forum but has instead launched a Facebook page, so she can continue with her monthly challenges.

You can like her page here

This month the Challenge was for an ABC LO. It had to include something that began with A,B and C. I thought about this for a while, then I remembered that I had some photo's of the girls on the beach at Redcliffe. So I dug around in my stash until I found the Seaside papers from Kaisercraft that Leanne has in stock and I then created this lovely little number.

Lastly if you can please give to the flood appeal
so much destruction is going to need massive funds for the clean up.

Scraphappykat Friday night Challenge 7 Jan 2011

Back again.... Told you that my MOJO was in hyperdrive. Well I follow scraphappykat on facebook and her blog.  She has Friday night challenges, this week we had to interpret this sketch,

I have had the Pyrus range of papers from Basic Grey, in my stash for quite a while now and I finally was able to pull them out and use them, with some glimmer of course..LOL

I firstly painted roughly around the cardstock, then punched the border on the right and inked with charcoal ink then distressed the edge to allow some white of the paper to show through. I then cut myself a circle template and misted with Brick Glimmermist.  On the sketch you had to use dots, pearls or rhinestones on the circle edge, I used buttons. I wanted to keep this LO very masculine as it is a picture of my Dad and my niece Sophie having a cuddle at my youngest daughter's first birthday back in 2009. TFL

White with 1 January

Hello All

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! My Mojo has been in overdrive this month, I have completed 2 kits for Leanne at Mad about Scrappin, Love Notes from Kaisercraft and Pitter Patter from Making Memories, both will be realised soon and will be able to share with you then :D

I have completed the latest challenge from White with 1, this month it had to be Navy or Royal Blue with white and had to have a banner on it. Here is my take on it

I have painted the outside border then doodled with black pen, madly went through my stash looking for navy blue papers found 2 October Afternoon, so added this to the mix and added the ruler ribbon too cute for a school LO not to use, also added some other embellishes from my stash. Hope you are all well and speak soon
